The Basque startup Mikrobiomik, founded in 2018, is competing in the race for the first gut microbiota-based biologic medicine.
Its biologic medicine MBK-01 (full spectrum microbiota capsules) is intended to treat intestinal infection caused by the bacterium ‘Clostridium difficile’.
